SELLING

We pride ourselves on having a good working relationship with all our clients, and every effort is made to make all parties happy. We hope our clients and customers are very satisfied with commissions made and the service given.

Here are a few tips if you wish to sell any items:

·       All items brought into BROOKS Clothes Agency MUST be in good condition and freshly laundered.
Any defect with the item must be disclosed before pricing is agreed.

·       Brooks is a Clothes Agency, therefore we sell items on behalf of our clients

·       Brooks do not own any of the items on the shop floor. 

·       Item pricing is agreed between Brooks and the client before going on sale.

·       The client will receive 40% of the final selling price for clothes and 50% commission for bags.
Prices do occasionally vary at point of sale depending on the item, this is at the discretion of Brooks.
Please inform us if you don’t wish to have your item discounted.

·       Items are left at the owner’s risk. We cannot be liable for any item damaged or stolen.

·       Pay out can be by cheque, bank transfer or cash. We prefer to pay by BACS or cheque.

·       We do not keep plastic or wire hangers, shoe boxes, plastic dry cleaning bags or suit carriers. Please take these with you should you wish to keep them. If not we will dispose of them for you. 

·       The item will be on sale for a maximum of 6 weeks, after which the client is expected to come and collect their unsold items. If items are not collected, or indeed if you do not want the items back, we will give them to the Arthur Rank Hospice charity.

·       You will be issued a collection date on delivery, please make a note of this. There is a two week period after your date during which your unsold items will be held. If you are unable to get to us, please call us to arrange an alternative collection time. Please note we do not call you.

·       We do not hold items for customers unless a 20% deposit is paid.

·       We cannot be held responsible for breakages or damage caused to items within the clothes agency. They will be tried on and handled during the six week period. We will however make sure 100% care and attention is present at all times. 
 
·       Please make sure you are 100% happy before you purchase. Items in this shop are on a 'sold as seen' basis having been inspected before they go on sale.
 
·       We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
